About HF-3 (HF-3)

High Frequency Lighting Generator This system provides lighting for locomotives and/or rolling stock, and is operated independently of the locomotive motor control. This means that by fitting a switch into the 16v AC supply the lights can be turned on or off whilst the loco is in motion, or even when stationary. Input: 16v AC at a maximum of 1.25 amps (Gaugemaster T1 or M1 recommended) Measurements: 76mm x 59mm x 27mm

The HF-3 is compatible with the SS-1 and SS-2, and only with the SS-3 if a 0.47 mF capacitor is used to bridge each track break or each track section is wired individually to the HF-3. The HF-3 is not compatible with the HF-1 and HF-2.
