Terms and Conditions of Sale
Every effort is made to ensure that all illustrations, prices and descriptions contained in this web site are accurate. With thousands of items available, it is likely that we will make the occasional mistake. We will put this right as soon as we realise, and if you think there is a mistake, please let us know by email
Our stock levels should be accurate, but again we do not guarantee this due to occasional circumstances beyond our control.
Mail order purchases are handled in date and time order. The stock level may show one is available but if another customer has ordered the same item before you, and we have not yet had time to process it, then this will result in a nil level when we come to process the second order.
We can no longer do “back orders”. Instead we now offer a “Wish List”. Customers can now log in to their own private area where they can review previous orders, maintain their personal profile, manage their address book and add items to the stored basket (wish list), or email to a chosen recipient who can view the list and select an item from it, or all, to buy on the senders behalf.
We can however, still do forward orders for items to be released (TBR). Please note that customers will be required to pay the full amount of the product value as listed online. We can no longer take on line deposits or part payments. We will price the TBR products as accurately as we can at the time the information is released. However, if for any reason, production delays result in significant price increases, we reserve the right to advise you of this and to give you the option to cancel or pay the difference. Please note the eventual price is out of our control, and in the hands of the manufacturer.
When ordering from our web site we will take payment only for those items which we can currently supply (except for TBR items - see above).
RETURNS POLICY (2009)
In accordance with your statutory rights as a consumer, claims for refunds, replacements or repairs will be offered as applicable if goods are found to
Not be of satisfactory quality
Not be fit for the purpose for which they were sold
Not correspond with their description
Not correspond with a sample on display, and/or
Be sold without good title.
The cost of returning goods under their rights indicated above will be borne by us.
Goods returned to us as faulty which are found to have no fault will incur a handling charge and return postage charges.
In addition, under the Distance Selling Regulations 2000, when you buy goods over the internet (or other distance medium) you have the right to cancel your contract at any time up to 7 working days after the receipt. You must notify us of your intention to cancel the contract under these provisions, within the cancellation period and preferably in writing. You must take reasonable care of the goods whilst in your possession, and they must be returned promptly and as far as is practicable in their original condition and packing. You are entitled to remove the goods from their packaging for reasonable examination but you may be liable for any loss of value resulting from any damage or alteration caused whilst in your possession. In particular, where items such as goods supplied in kit form are supplied with sealed component bags, these bags should remain intact.
Please be aware that the cost of retuning the goods under these provisions is to be borne by you and we strongly advise you return goods valued at under £39.00 by recorded delivery and retain the proof of posting. This is the Post Office’s standard compensation for first class, second class, inland letter and ordinary overseas items sent by air or surface mail. For higher value items (over £39.00) we advise that you insure the goods for their full value during return transit.
Please note that certain goods are exempt, such as goods made specifically to order and perishable goods, by the Regulations from the cancellation rights detailed above.
Items such as magazines, catalogues and CD/DVD’s are also excluded.
We ask if you could examine all goods delivered as soon as reasonably practicable after delivery and notify us of any problem with the goods as soon as possible. We will have a claim against our couriers for any items they damage in transit while being sent to you and therefore request that you keep all packaging with the goods in order to ensure such a claim is not invalidated. The courier will require a signature on delivery, and all claims for lost parcels will need to be notified to us promptly so that the Courier can investigate as soon as possible.
The above statements are not intended to be a full indication of all your rights as a consumer. Full details of your rights when buying goods over the internet, and otherwise, are available from your local Trading Standards and/or Consumer Direct.
