Description: 07139 Ferrari 360 Challenge "Norbert Walchhofer"

The Ferrari Challenge, a customer racing sports series recognized by the FIA, has taken place over the past 12 years. The events are held at internationally famous European race tracks such as Monza, Spa, Donington Park, Salzburgring, Magny-Cours or N rburgring. The Ferrari Challenge is split into two groups, with drivers who have not had the necessary international driver's licence for very long competing for the Shell Cup.
Norbert Walchhofer, born in 1952 in Salzburg, can look back over a long sporting career. He started out as a basketball professional and was the sole European coach in the American professional league. He also drove in various US racing series such as the NASCAR. For a number of years he took no part in motor racing, but since 2002 he has participated successfully in the Ferrari Challenge. At the first attempt he came second in the German International Championship in the Shell Cup. In 2003 he ended up as German champion in brilliant style and took 3rd place in the European Championship, having missed the title by only 16 points.
