The undisputed sensation of the 1995 Geneva motor show was the new F50 super sports cyr by Ferrari, the Italien master builder. Pure Formula 1 technology is the hallmark of this successor to the legendary F40. Chassis and body are made of super lightweight yet extra strong carbon fibre/Kevlar composite materials. The 12-cylinder, 5-valve engine and the suspension, too, are adopted from formula 1. With a power output of 520 hp the F50 reaches a top speed of 325 km/h. After years of abstinence Ferrari is once again offering a classic "Barchetta" which can be driven with or without hardtop fitted.
