02173 Heavy Goods Locomotive BR43 w.Short Tender 2'2 T30
The 43 class was built by the German locomotive works Henschel and Schwartzkopff in the years 1927/28. The locomotives proved their worth decisively. Later the BR 43 was often coupled to type 2-2-T30 short tenders. In addition many locomotives received Wagner and Witte types of smoke deflector plates. Coupled with a type 2-2-T30 tender 10 tonnes of coal and 30 m3 of water could be carried. The length over buffers was 21,920 mm. The last of the BR 43 locomotives went out of service in 1967.
