Variant of the E-Type Jaguar made especially for racing from 1962 onwards, known as the 'light weight' due to its light alloy bodywork and engine. Of the 12 racing cars built by the works, only 3 models had a low-drag roof-line known as the fastback, the shape of which was similar to that of the production coupe and was designed to improve the drag coefficient of the tail.
