This unit comes into line with the step up design, making it perfect for standing alongside its sister controllers to give that control suite effect as well as convenience of operation with the familiar reverse printed PVC label being the ideal surface for permanent or temporary identification. 'Ident' boxes are provided for the purpose. Whilst outwardly the number of point control switches may have been reduced from seven to six the unit has been made more versatile with the introduction of a 'bank' selector switch. This extends the units operating capability to eighteen individual point motors in three banks of six (Fitting of diodes is required - 20 included). Alternatively, with each switch capable of sustaining the operation of up to six point motors simultaneously this gives a potential maximum total operating capacity of a staggering one hundred and eight. As before the unit incorporates the renowned Gaugemaster Capacitor Discharge Unit for enhanced point motor operation and it can be further extended by connection of the Gaugemaster PCU-2 which will now also benefit from the bank selector switch increasing its switching capability by three. The Gaugemaster PCU1 is perhaps unique in providing, with a little planning a relatively simple method of route setting. With the appropriate positioning of diodes a given point motor can be incorporated into two different point sets
