The 'Princes Elizabeth' was one of the fastest locomotives operating on the British Railways network in 1950 and was named in honour of the future Queen Elizabeth II when she was still a Princess. A true spirit of nostalgia surrounds the superbly detailed models in The Royal Train set~ which include the LMS 'Princess Elizabeth' locomotive~ together with three model coaches - HM The Queen's personal saloon~ HRH The Duke of Edinburgh's personal saloon and a sleeper brake coach - which emulate those that can still be seen as part of the current Royal Train. The track in this set~ which includes 2 sidings~ is the Starter Oval plus Track Packs A and B.
