The Sd.Kfz. (Special Vehicle) 10 was a half-track vehicle developed by Demag AG from the end of 1934. The "D6" with a payload of 1 tonne, completed in 1938, was the first variant to enter series production and was introduced by the Wehrmacht as Sd.Kfz. 10/1 to 10/4. The "D7" developed on the basis of the "D6" was the final variant, produced between the end of 1938 to 1944 as Sd.Kfz. 10/5 with the 2 cm Flak38. With the anti-aircraft gun the vehicle was not only used against aircraft but it also provided infantry support against ground targets. Its operational area covered all of the German fronts during the Second World War. Approximately 17,500 of the Sd.Kfz. 10 were produced during the war.
